BBCF SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

Purpose

Provide scholarship awards to deserving African American graduating seniors entering a four-year college/university as a full-time student in Summer/Fall 2026.

Guidelines

MUST be a graduating senior (Class of 2026) attending a high school in the Greater Houston Metro or Surrounding Area. The list below is not all-inclusive, but intended to provide guidance.

  • Conroe

  • Cypress-Fairbank

  • Houston

  • Huffman

  • Humble

  • Klein

  • Magnolia

  • Montgomery

  • New Caney

  • Splendora

  • Spring

  • Tomball

  • Waller

  • Willis

Application Criteria

Must fully complete the online scholarship award application and upload all attachments.


500-word essay completed online (as described in Part IV).


Must be a graduating senior, entering a four-year college/university as a full-time
student in Summer/Fall 2026.

  • High School Transcripts

  • College acceptance letter(s)

  • Completed Resume that includes: list of awards, leadership positions held, ALL
    community service activities, and the number of hours performed.

  • Quality Headshot/Photo in .jpg format

Scholarship winners will be announced on June 15, 2026.

Scholarship brunch will be held in July 2026; TBA location.

Last Date to Apply June 01, 2026

Scholarships will be tendered upon proof of acceptance, registration, and matriculation as a full-time student at a four-year college/universit
