Born and raised in Chattanooga, TN to parents with little education.  Edward attended East Tennessee State University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. During his senior year Edward began work in the medical device industry as a quality assurance associate that later became a career in Quality Management.  Edward is an experienced quality professional with a demonstrated history of working in the pharmaceuticals and medical device industries with a human approach to getting things done. Skilled in Quality System Management, Process and Computer Verification and Validation (V&V), Good Manufacturing, Laboratory, & Distributions Practice (GxP). Familiarized in all areas of Quality Assurance for Pharmaceutical, Medical Devices, Nutraceuticals in handling QMS processes. Strong operations professional with a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) focused on Strategic Management from University of Phoenix. Edward currently serves as Senior Director of Quality Assurance for Summit Therapeutic, plc.

 

Edward is married to his wife Janice and they have two adult children: Edward Marcus and Ashley. Edward has been part of mentoring programs in Bloomington, IN and Salt Lake City, UT and brings that experience to BBCF. Edward has maintained a membership in the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. where he is a Life member and current member of the MU MU Nu chapter in Houston, TX.  Edward serves as treasure for the Bridge Builders Charity Foundation.
