Family Fun Festival & Kid's Que Cook-Off (8/04/18)

 

The Family Fun Festival & Kid's Que highlights and celebrates local food and agriculture in our region. The event attracts about 1,800+ patrons from the surrounding urban and rural area, including young families, teenagers, university students, professionals, andseniors. Over 50 exhibitors participate, offering prepared food, fresh produce and flowers, and more! The Family Fun Festival takes place just north of Highway 8 on the beautiful grounds of the Fallbrook Church.The strength of the Family Fun Festival & Kid's Que lies in the strong collaborative effort of organizations and businesses across Houston, our dedicated volunteers, and the valuable community sponsors that support this great event.

Bridge Builder Golf Classic (9/29/18)

The Bridge Builder Charity Foundation, Inc. will be hosting its Inaugural Bridge Builder Golf Classic on Saturday, September 29, 2018, at WindRose Golf Club in Spring, Texas. This is an excellent opportunity for us to gather, network and celebrate our community.

Talent Hunt Program (11/10/18)

The Talent Hunt program of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. is one of several national programs designed to identify and support the youth of our nation and the world. We request your support in offering the opportunity for your students to participate in and gain exposure through the annual Talent Hunt Program. 

Participation in the Talent Hunt Program is open to High School Students (9-12 grades) in the following areas:

  1. Music: Vocal and instrumental; classical, semi-classical, gospel and jazz.
    • A printed copy of the music (score) is required for the judges to analyze.
  2. Interpretive Movement to Music: ballet, modern dance and tap.
  3. Speech: Poetry, oration, monologue, etc.
    • Printed script should be provided for the judges to analyze
  4. Visual Art: Sculpture, photography, drawing and painting.
    • 3 to 5 pieces for judging
